A La Carte Menu

Our menu is a love letter to Detroit - the neighborhoods, the landmarks, and the culture that made us who we are.

A Note on Our Names

Many of our boards and dishes are named for the neighborhoods, landmarks, and cultural touchstones that shaped Detroit. The Black Bottom Board and The Paradise Valley Shrimp & Grits honor two of Detroit's most vibrant historic Black communities - neighboring districts that together formed the cultural and economic heart of Black Detroit. Home to over 300 Black-owned businesses, jazz clubs, churches, and generations of families who built something extraordinary, both neighborhoods were deliberately demolished in the late 1950s and 1960s to make way for the Chrysler Freeway, I-375, and I-94 - highways that serve commuters to this day while the communities they erased are barely remembered in history books.

We remember. We name them because they deserve to be named. We honor them the way we honor everything about this city - with intention, with pride, and with good food. 🖤
